34 million Chinese traveled abroad last year, an increase of 10% on an annual basis, according to the State Administration of Tourism.
China conceded in 132 countries and regions the status of approved destination for Chinese tourists, with 86 countries having the status of approved destination for Chinese tour groups.
the approved destination status means that Chinese tourists have access to visas to travel within the country or region concerned.
China has strengthened cooperation with international tourism organizations, including the World Tourism Organization and the Association of Asia-Pacific tourism to promote tourism and trade with other countries and regions, said Shao Qiwei Director of the State Administration of Tourism.
